Bangladeshi Society in Umea (BSU)

As a part of folkbildning in Sweden BSU for the first time in Sweden has arranged workshop to help the Bangladeshis for learning Swedish Language and Swedish Culture. This has provided them a platform to cope themselves up in Swedish Society during their stay in Sweden. All the members hav shown extensive interests to continue with the workshop.

At the end of the holy month of Ramadan comes Eid. And BSU had the opprtunity to reunite the Bangladeshis living in Umeå during this time. Though on a short notice, but everyone was called to Pedagoggränd 3E lokal where we all spend a very wonderful Eid evening. Among the cultural activities was music and ofcourse tradional Bangladeshi food and dessert.

An iftar party (during the month of Ramadan) for BSU members were ogranized on 26th August 2010 at Historigränd Lokal, Ålidhem, Umeå. All new Bangladeshi students were invited in the party and it was a good opportunity to introduce them BSU and talk about the objectives of the organization. As usual, tradional Bangladeshi Iftar was served when the sun went down and later the program was concluded with a dinner. Most of the newcommers showed interest to join BSU and later they discussed about the the development and upcoming activities of BSU.
