BSU trips to Holmön, July 2010

Bangladeshi Society in Umeå made a trip to Holmön Island on 10th July 2010. We reached Norrfjärdens by Car at 9 am. from there we took the ferry to the Island. The 45 mins of ferry journey was very pleasureful to all the members. After reaching the island we found a very nice place to set up our temporary camp, just beside the shore. The first thing we did then is having breakfast. After wondering around a while we went off for hiking in the forest. A destination-less walk in the forest was a nice experience for all the members, despite of the mosquito bites. We returned to our camp when the sport secretary called for a football match. After the game few members of BSU were brave enough to take bath in the cold Baltic water. Soon enough we learned that the stomach demands something and we sat down for a heavy Traditional Bangladeshi lunch. After the lunch it was time for photo session and Bengali Music arranged by the cultural secretary. The clock ticked 4 and it was time to return to the harbor to catch the ferry way back to Umeå. The day was wonderful and tiresome.
